Panevėžys Creativity Center “Prãgiedruliai” invites artists to submit exhibition proposals for its 2027 exhibition programme.
Our exhibition space is one of the ways we invite people to experience art. Prãgiedruliai is home to studios working across a range of disciplines, including fine art and glass, photography, textile
design, audio-visual arts, and applied theatre. However, we are not limited to a single artistic discipline or creative practice. We welcome both established professionals in their respective fields and emerging artists who have a distinctive perspective and are interested in exploring how their work could unfold within our space.
We’re not just looking for artworks. We’re looking for exhibition visions
Our exhibition space is dynamic, with its own architecture, structure, scale and light, as well as a particular relationship with the nature beyond its windows. We therefore invite you to think about the space more broadly — not necessarily as a theme to respond to directly, but as a place where your work
can reveal itself in unexpected ways. We are interested in how your practice might meet the space at Prãgiedruliai — how it might respond to its forms, structures and proportions. At times, an unexpected relationship between a work and its surroundings can open up an entirely new way of seeing.
Who can apply?
We invite professionally active artists with an established and consistently developing creative practice, as well as emerging artists looking for an opportunity to present their work in a distinctive exhibition space.
We are especially keen on:
🔴artists working across different media and interdisciplinary practices;
🔴designers, particularly textile designers;
🔴glass artists;
🔴artists working with sound and moving image;
🔴photographers and interdisciplinary photographic artists experimenting with mixed photographic
🔴techniques and spatial installations;
🔴artists working with objects, installation, materials, space, or other unconventional forms of artistic practice;
🔴artists whose practice extends beyond a single discipline or format.
We don’t consider age — what matters to us is the quality, distinctiveness and consistency of your creative practice, as well as its potential to develop into a coherent exhibition project.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a coherent exhibition vision that can be fully realised in our exhibition space. On average, an exhibition in the space features around 16–24 works, but the exact number will depend on the format and scale of your work and the overall concept of the exhibition. In your application, we want to see not only strong individual works, but also how they come together to form a cohesive exhibition.
This could be:
🔴a consistent series of works;
🔴a body of different works connected by a shared theme, idea or visual language;
🔴an interdisciplinary project bringing together several creative fields;
🔴or propose another exhibition format for us to consider.
If you already have a specific vision for how your work could unfold within the Prãgiedruliai space, we would love to hear about it in your application.
What we offer
For selected artists, we offer:
🔴a 1 or 2 month exhibition period in the Prãgiedruliai exhibition space;
🔴assistance with installing and preparing the works for exhibition;
🔴printed promotional materials for the exhibition;
🔴display and distribution of exhibition communication materials at the Center;
🔴promotion of the exhibition in public spaces across the city;
🔴digital promotion before and during the exhibition;
🔴organisation of the exhibition opening, including drinks and snacks;
🔴the opportunity to discuss specific needs related to your proposed exhibition.
Selection Process
All applicants will be informed of the outcome by email.
Applications will be reviewed by the Prãgiedruliai team panel, taking into consideration the quality
and distinctiveness of the artistic practice, the coherence of the exhibition project, the potential of
the idea, and the possibility of meaningfully realising it within our space.
Applications submitted as part of this call may also be considered for the group exhibition programme.
Artists selected for a group exhibition will be contacted separately with an invitation.
How to Apply
Submit your application for the 2027 exhibition programme by 4 December 2026.
We look forward to your ideas and creative encounters ahead.
