🟠 "Fragile Rough" brings together two artists – Vaiva Kovieraitė-Trumpė and Dainius Trumpis. Their joint exhibition is not only a sensory dialogue of contrasts, but also an exploration of the creative process itself. Conceived as a sensory laboratory, the exhibition presents experimental materials as tools for capturing time, transformation, and the unfolding of change.
Freed from technological constraints, the artists abandon predetermined outcomes in favour of a living dialogue with matter. Here, accidental errors or the unexpected flow of paint are treated not as technical imperfections, but as unique moments of truth. Vulnerability becomes a strength, allowing each work to breathe.
🟠 Within this space, tenderness is never entirely safe – it constantly exists alongside the possibility of destruction. Mistakes and unexpected turns become a means of navigation when the original intention meets the rebellious nature of the material. For the artists, what matters is the play itself: the pleasure of the process and the surprises it inevitably brings.
"Fragile Rough" invites visitors to pause at the doorstep where an image is only just beginning to emerge, and to experience the subtle vibration of the creative process – a place where all our opposites interflow.
