"Pragiedruliai" has been nominated for prestigious architecture award

Panevėžys is steadily establishing itself among the centers of innovative architecture and culture – two of the city's outstanding projects have received international recognition. The creativity center "Pragiedruliai" has been included in the list of nominees for the prestigious "Building of the Year" awards. This competition annually attracts more than 4,000 of the best architectural projects from around the world, and even the nomination itself is considered a significant achievement.

A true pride of the city – the renovated Juozas Čerkesas-Besparnis homestead, which has become the jewel of Skaistakalnis Park as the "Pragiedruliai" creativity center. Designed by the team of architects Tadas Jonauskis, Ignas Račkauskas, Lukas Kulikauskas, Augustas Makrickas, and Justina Muliuolytė, this space is competing for the "Building of the Year" title in the Cultural Architecture category.

Held for the sixteenth time, the "Building of the Year" competition is one of the world's most prestigious architecture awards. Each year, over 4,000 projects participate, and a mere nomination is already a testament to a building's architectural value, innovation, and the creative mastery of its authors. The nominated city projects further reinforce that Panevėžys is becoming a hub for bold and modern architecture, where world-class projects are being developed.

The first round of voting runs until February 12, and the winners in each category will be announced on February 20 on the ArchDaily website. We invite you to support Panevėžys and vote for our city’s projects – every vote helps to promote Panevėžys on the global stage!
