On November 26–27, the Rokiškis District Municipality Administration, as part of the international project “Reclaimed History” (No. LL-00061), organized the second training series on “Digital Marketing of Tourism Products and Attractions: Innovations, Theory, and Practice.” The two-day training sessions were held in Panevėžys and Rokiškis, bringing together tourism sector representatives from Panevėžys, Rokiškis, and Akmenė districts.
On November 26, participants in Panevėžys delved into the intricacies of building a personal brand on the social platform LinkedIn. The training was led by content creator and "Matomi" partner Eivydas Adomavičius. During the practical session, the instructor shared insights on creating a professional image, reaching target audiences, and effectively using LinkedIn for promoting one's activities.
On November 27, the training in Rokiškis featured Daiva Kulienė, Director of the Molėtai Tourism and Business Information Center, who conducted practical sessions on “Tourism Product Development and Sales.” The session covered effective strategies for creating tourism products tailored to the needs and expectations of tourists and shared best practices applicable at a regional level. The second speaker, Lina Baublienė, author of the “Surink Lietuvą” project, discussed digital marketing for tourism services. Participants learned how to apply modern digital marketing tools to enhance the visibility and appeal of tourism services both locally and internationally.
The training sessions provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, valuable for developing tourism attractions and services.
It’s worth noting that the Panevėžys City Municipality Administration, together with seven other partners, is implementing the international Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania 2021–2027 program project “Reclaimed History” (No. LL-00061). The project aims to create a new, interactive, and innovative tourist route in Panevėžys, accessible to all social groups. This route will include the cultural heritage site of Juozas Čerkesas’ homestead and Skaistakalnis Park. Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the historical figures who lived in J. Čerkesas’ homestead and events that took place in Skaistakalnis Park. In collaboration with Lithuanian and Latvian border municipalities, new tourist-friendly routes will be created, connecting cultural heritage sites in both neighboring countries.
The total project value is EUR 104,787.
