Exploring Digital Heritage: Third Reclaimed History Meeting in Latvia

On March 26–27, the third project partners’ meeting took place in Jēkabpils, Latvia. Together with 7 other partners, Pragiedruliai continues its work on the international project “Reclaimed History” (No. LL-00061), part of the Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania 2021–2027 program.

This project will bring back the story of Juozas Čerkesas-Besparnis to Skaistakalnis Park in the form of artistic, interactive augmented reality visuals.

In total, 12 unexpected stops will be created, which we hope will engage both residents of Panevėžys and visitors in discovering the unique history of our city.

During the meeting in Jēkabpils, the partners presented the activities already carried out, discussed plans for the third phase, shared experiences on digital solutions for presenting cultural heritage, and discussed joint project outputs – including a tourism map, publicity campaigns, and upcoming events. The participants also visited various historical sites where digital solutions are already being implemented or planned for tourism purposes.
