Residency: Following the win at the "Revive" Sustainable Fashion Festival 2025 – I Believe
REVIVE Sustainable Fashion Festival 2025 winner Elžbieta Danieliūtė , who works under the name zzyzla, marked the beginning of a new and intensive creative chapter.
One of the festival prizes was a two-week creative residency at the Prãgiedruliai Creativity Center, giving Elžbieta time and space to create, experiment and develop a new audiovisual work.
Elžbieta Danieliūtė (zzyzla) is a Lithuanian filmmaker and visual artist whose practice brings together moving image, sound, fashion and visual art. Her atmospheric works weave together chaos, silence and emotion, exploring the inner experiences of the individual through an experimental visual language, unexpected contrasts and the interplay of different media.
Meeting at „Iškrovos“
During the first week of her residency, Elžbieta was invited to take part in the arts and music festival „Iškrovos“. Surrounded by art and music in the alternative, lively and creative setting of the LRT OPUS studio, the artist had the artist talk.
During the event, she shared her creative journey and spoke about her current work and the ideas she continued to develop during her residency at Prãgiedruliai.
The collaboration with „Iškrovos“ did not end there. The festival organisers invited Elžbieta back for the festival’s final day, where she photographed the musical performances and artists. What began as an invitation during the first week of her residency evolved into an organic and multifaceted collaboration – a rewarding and enjoyable experience for the artist, Prãgiedruliai and the „Iškrovos“ organisers.
During the second week, Prãgiedruliai also hosted Elžbieta's artist talk – an opportunity to meet the artist in person and gain a closer insight into her creative journey, working methods and the ideas she was developing during the residency. The event offered a chance to look behind the scenes of the creative process and explore what lies behind the images, atmospheres and artistic experiments that shape her work.
The two-week creative residency culminated in the presentation of the audiovisual work „Aš tikiu“ (I Believe). Created during the residency, the work explores inner human experiences, memories and personal stories.
The audience gathered for the presentation was the first to experience Elžbieta’s new work, followed by an opportunity to meet the artist and share their impressions.
We would like to thank UAB „Danesa“ for supporting Elžbieta’s creative residency.
